Skincare Tips For Monsoon
There is hardly anyone in this world who do not love monsoon. Spending the day at home with a cup of tea and book & enjoying the rainy day at fullest. But yes! After rain humidity is something which we don’t like in monsoon. So this is the time when we need to take care of our skin more because this humidity’s harmful bacteria can cause acne, breakouts, and skin irritation.
But don’t worry, in this blog I am sharing the Monsoon skincare Tips & Skincare routine. This will make your skin look fresh and healthy.
Cleansing Daily: Washing face more often with plain water & face wash did not suffice the purpose. Even using facewash frequently can lead to skin dryness. In monsoon because of humidity skin becomes oily which leads to acne & breakouts. Using a cleanser will help to make the skin oil-free
My Recommendation: The Face Shop Herb Day 365 Moong Bean Cleansing Foam
Price: Rs 300
Using Toner – Toner helps to close open pores to prevent it from dirt & impurities & also helps to maintain the pH level of the skin. In monsoon because of humidity pH level of the skin kept changing & applying toner after cleansing makes skin healthy which leads to maintaining the skin pH level.
My Recommendation: WOW Skin Science Vitamin C Skin Mist Toner
Keep your skin moisturized: Most of the time we think that there is no need to have moisturized or applying body lotion because our skin feels greasy because of humidity in monsoon. This is because our skin is releasing natural oils. So is necessary to moisturize the skin timely to keep it moisturized and hydrated.
- Plum Green Tea Mattifying Moisturizer
- WOW Skin Science Aloe Vera Ultra-Light Hydration Body Lotion
Price: Rs 399
Do not forget to apply Sunscreen: No matter what weather is Sunscreen is something which we can’t skip. We need food to live Right! Likewise, our skin needs sunscreen. We tend to skip applying sunscreen during cloudy weather or rainy day. The UV rays can harm our skin in monsoon as well during cloudy days. So make sure we are applying sunscreen despite any weather.
My Recommendation: Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunblock SPF 50+
Price: Rs 199
Ease to Exfoliate: Do not think that exfoliation is a time taking process. You just need 15-20mins of your routine to exfoliate. It removes all the dead skin and provides glow to the skin. Prefer to use homemade face masks & scrubs with home ingredients. But if you do not have time to prepare face scrubs & face mask then you can use it from some organic brand as well.
- Aroma Magic Mineral Glow Scrubs ( All Skin Types )
Price: Rs 310
- WOW Skin Science Activated Charcoal Face Scrub
Price: Rs 375
Use of Rose Water: Using rose water twice in a day helps to makes the skin healthy and maintains the pH balance of the skin in monsoon or in all-weather as well. But try to use homemade rose water which is easy to make. You just have to boil healthy rose petals in water for 10-15 mins and you are good to go!
Switch Organic from cosmetic: Applying heavy makeup on a daily basis will result in cakey skin and this will block the pores also. Try to apply less makeup and most of the organic skincare products only in monsoon season. Using homemade skincare masks & packs provide glow to your skin & will make skin healthy.
Eat Healthy & Green: If we talk about 40-50years back when we were not having cosmetic range and skincare products. Still, the skins of the ladies were healthier than ours. This is because they eat organic food, green & leafy vegetables, apply homemade remedies for any skin problem. For a healthy body or skin what we need Vitamins, Minerals, and other nutrition. In spite of believing and showing faith to get those on cosmetics and products why don’t we try moving towards organic food, vegetables, and homemade remedies.
